Thirkells of Sunderland are one of the longest established garages in the city. We are based on Stobart Street near The Stadium of Light in Sunderland. We offer MOT, Servicing, mechanical and body repairs.
Here at Thirkell’s we are a family run business established in 1969 and have steadily grown over the years. We started from a workshop at Handel Street, Millfield, then moved our Car Sales Dept. to Hylton Road, next came our department at Stockton Road, which was our city centre MOT testing station.
Our latest expansion project saw us open a large, modern workshop, new MOT test station, fast fit tyre and exhaust centre, spacious showroom and comfortable reception in Stobart Street next to the Stadium of Light.
